Applying for citizenship can involve a lot of waiting—and very little visibility into what is happening beyond your own application.
Official figures exist, but finding them, translating reports, and checking for updates takes time. In Facebook groups and Reddit discussions, the same questions come up repeatedly: What’s happening? Are applications moving? Has anyone heard anything?
Slovak Citizenship Data was created to make that information easier to find and understand. It brings official application, grant, consular, and Slovak-abroad certificate data together in one place, with charts that make activity and trends easier to explore.
Whether you’re investigating citizenship, completing your paperwork, or waiting for a decision, the aim is to provide useful context—and a clearer view of the volume of work reported by Slovakia’s Ministry of Interior and other offices. It cannot show the status of an individual application, but it can help make the wider picture less of a mystery.
Who’s behind it?
This is an independently maintained project, separate from the Slovak government and its ministries.
Corrections, Compliments & Complaints
Found something wrong, have an idea, or think something could be clearer? Corrections, compliments, suggestions, and complaints are all welcome.
Please include a link to the page or chart and, where possible, the source or detail you think needs attention. That makes it easier to check and address the issue.
An error can be in a chart or calculation here, or in the original figures. The source records are kept, and site corrections or interpretations stay linked to their evidence.
